2026 Letter from the President
Dear FCV Neighborhood Association Members -
2025 was a wonderful year, and I’m excited for everything 2026 will bring! French Creek Neighborhood celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. Our neighborhood is truly something special! Since 1977, dedicated board members and volunteers have invested their time and energy to make our neighborhood the unique and welcoming community it is today.
We hope you enjoyed our community events this year, including the 4th of July bike parade, pool movie nights, the Memorial Day and Labor Day picnics, and of course, our annual Luminarias event. Thanks to the support of our neighbors, these events continue to grow and get better every year!
I also want to extend a heartfelt thank‑you to everyone who has volunteered their time and contributed donations over the years. As you know, membership in the association is voluntary, and our board is made up of just eight neighborhood volunteers. This small group invests their time and energy in our events and community. Since 1977, the dedicated board members, with the help of volunteers, have kept our events going, added new ones, and made sure our neighborhood stayed the unique and welcoming community it is today! Please consider volunteering this year! We’re currently looking for block captains who can help deliver newsletters and other communications to homes on their assigned street a few times a year. Let us know if you’d like to join by emailing us at frenchcreekvillagehoa@gmail.com.
2026: A LOOK AHEAD
The cost of essential services, like landscaping and utilities has continued to rise each year, while our membership rates have not kept pace. Our last increase was in 2023, and our current rates no longer fully cover the expenses required to maintain our common areas and facilities. In addition, the pool now requires critical and costly repairs to remain operational.
Due to these factors, the French Creek Village Neighborhood Association Board of Directors voted in December to increase membership fees for 2026 to ensure we can responsibly cover rising costs and continue caring for our shared spaces.
-
Class A General Memberships are going up from $70 to $75 a year. That’s just $5 more annually—about 42¢ a month, bringing the total to $6.25 per month. The credit‑card convenience fee is staying the same.
-
Class B, C, E, and F Recreational Memberships are going up from $285 to $325 a year.
That’s a $40 annual difference—about $3.25 more per month, for a total of roughly $27 per month. The credit‑card convenience fee is also increasing by $1, from $9 to $10.
Credit Card convenience fees will be applied both online and in-person credit card swipe. To avoid those fees, you can pay with cash or check. More information can be found on the attached membership form.
Our membership rate is still about the same, or lower, than a lot of neighborhoods in our area. For roughly $27 a month, recreational members get access to some pretty awesome amenities. The pool is a huge favorite in the summer, and so many families spend a ton of time there. And the resurfaced pickleball courts have been a big hit too. It’s been great seeing so many neighbors out there playing and having fun. We hope you will renew your membership for 2026!
TOP 3 REASONS TO JOIN THE FCV Neighborhood Association:
-
Our Neighborhood Association is voluntary, which means it is: Not mandatory: Homeowners in our neighborhood are not required to join. Non-Intrusive: We Do Not want to regulate anyone’s property. Run by neighborhood volunteers: board members provide important and fiscally-responsible care for our operations and facilities.
-
We offer different annual membership levels.
-
Our Neighborhood Association sponsored events create a sense of community, fellowship, and security.
I want to encourage everyone to get involved in whatever way you can. Neighbors investing their time and money in our community is what has kept the rich history of FCV traditions alive - some of which have been in place for well over 40 years! Our monthly board meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm at the YMCA. We hope to see you there! Thank you for making this community something truly special!
